The Way to Nepal

Our new friends did a great job in getting the parts we needed fabricated to fix the mudguard, however after breakfast we still couldn't extract the old sheared blot. So we installed the mudguard with only two bolts until we could get the third bolt out.

We spent the next hour in traffic trying to get to the boarder, which was only 40 km away.

Although there were many people crossing the boarder, we were the only foreigners which meant we were the only people at the immigration and customs offices.

The formalities were straight forward, and we continued on our way. As every one told us, the streets in Nepal are in much better condition than India, which was true. However we still couldn't do more than 60 to 70 km/h on average since everything travels on the same road even animals which you need to slow down for, and some times stop.

After a few hours we rested under a tree, and then continued until late afternoon when we reached Rajbiraj and started looking for a hotel, when we asked about the best hotel, every one mentioned the Star Hotel. Once we found the hotel, they only had one air conditioned room left which we took, and they managed to squeeze another bed in.

They also let our motorcycles in the hotel and parked them in front of the kitchen. We noticed also that our mobile phones have no service, apparently like Bhutan , Nepal mobile companies have no roaming agreement with Kuwait, so we purchased a local number.

Once we rested we had dinner, and went to bed early since we had a long ride tomorrow ahead of us to Kathmandu.
