Sightseeing in Paro

After the 8 hour ride we had yesterday, we were happy to just go and explore Paro.

With the tour agent guiding us we went and visited a 500 year old Fortress (Dzong) the ride there was breathtaking, and the weather was nice and cool, we passed rice farms along the way which this area is famous for.

After the Dzong, we went to a café that overlooks the "Tigers Lair" monastery.

We then headed to another monastery, and then to the Museum which was closed since it was a holy day.

We then took a ride in town where we witnessed an archery match followed by traditional singing and dancing.

Tomorrow we will be going to Punakha.
