Sightseeing in Thimpu

Today we had to finalize our payment to the agency, and see the capital. We started at a memorial of the third king, and then went to the agency office to finalize our financial arrangements which turned out to be quite an ordeal since our ATM cards don't work here, and the only bank does not give cash advance on credit cards. So we had the funds wired form Kuwait. We then went to the textile museum, followed by lunch.

The CB Push to Talk button on Ali's bike was getting undone so after lunch our guide managed to find a tailor to stitch a new cover to hold it in place.

Once that was done we visited the Institute for the 13 traditional arts and crafts. It was quite strange since we were allowed to enter classes in session and take pictures without asking. We were there until the end of class, where the students who saw us in the news yesterday gathered at the bikes and asked questions about our trip.

We then went back to the hotel to prepare for the long ride tomorrow.
